Teen review: More Mia

Princess in Waiting
by Meg Cabot
225 pages
Teen fiction
A series for grades 7 and up

Reviewed by Kayla, grade 10

After spending all of her winter break in Genovia, Mia is about to go crazy. She is away from her boyfriend, stuck in boring meetings, and her grandmother is trying to set her up with her cousin! However, once she gets back home the situation is not any better. Her mom is uncomfortably pregnant, Mia has to go through a second semester of Algebra, and her best friend is acting as crazy as ever. What else could go wrong? Could anything go right?

This book was extremely entertaining. Mia is relatable to high school kids especially because although she is a princess, she is not perfect. She is hilarious and makes the story fun and easy to read. I also love how the book is written, through the diary entries of Princess Mia. She writes her journal entries at all times of the day, which make the story even more immediate. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes Meg Cabot. I love her writing style, and I like this book.

I rate this book as a 5.
