What are you doing next Friday night?

Be from the Capitol...or just dress like you are! (Pucker up, Effie! Mix up some frosting, Peeta!)

Next Friday night, August 24, we gather at 6:00 SHARP (better make it 5:45) to see a special after-hours screening of THE HUNGER GAMES at Buena Vista library! This is for TEENS ONLY, and it's also special because it's a "food-raiser" for Burbank Temporary Aid Center (BTAC). In honor of District 12, we're asking you to bring one nonperishable food item with you to replenish the larder at our local food bank and help the hungry. Choose from this list:

macaroni & cheese
peanut butter
canned fruits, canned vegetables
canned soups, canned meat
rice, pasta, instant potatoes
pancake mixes, syrup
toothpaste, tooth brushes

PLEASE NOTE: The Hunger Games is rated PG 13, so if you are under 13, you MUST bring a note from your parents to say it's okay for you to see it! No note, no admission, no exceptions.

Also, if your parents and friends-who-are-not-teens are mad that THEY can't come, the library is having an encore screening the next day, Saturday August 25, at 2:00 p.m., so make sure they know they are not being left out. (But WE know which screening is the best!)

Refreshments will be served. Come in costume if you like. There might even be some PRIZES.
