High School Summer Choices

We talked about a LOT of books last month (both series and standalones) for our summer reading choice; here below are the ones we discussed. (We are not limited to these—feel free to propose others, and do so by email now, if you can, so others can consider.) Think about whether you’d like to read a series or a stand-alone, and come on Tuesday prepared to vote!

SERIES:
Skin Hunger, Sacred Scars, by Kathleen Duey
Birthmarked, Prized, by Caragh O’Brien
Delirium, Pandemonium, by Lauren Oliver
Streams of Babel, Fire Will Fall, by Carol Plum-Ucci
The Thief, The Queen of Attolia, The King of Attolia, A Conspiracy of Kings, by Megan Whalen Turner
Across the Universe, A Million Suns, by Beth Revis
Game of Thrones, by George R. R. Martin
Dead is the New Black, Dead is So Last Year, Dead is a State of Mind, by Marlene Perez

STAND-ALONE BOOKS:

Hold Me Closer, Necromancer, by Lish McBride
Wither, by Lauren DeStefano (This would actually qualify as a series, but we don't have the sequel yet, and there will be a third book later, so we’ll call it a single for now.)
The Lock Artist, by Steve Hamilton
The Map of Time, by Felix J. Palma
Push Not the River, by James Conroyd Martin
I Am the Messenger, by Marcus Zusak
Everything Is Illuminated, by Jonathan Safran Foer
